  •  Acumulating money is like accumulating (30+ / 0-)

walnuts for a squirrel.  Accumulation is a primitive impulse.  It relies on imitation and repetition.  When beavers accumulate sticks over and over and drag them to a pile, the result, eventually, is a lodge or dam.  When birds accumulate sticks and feathers and moss and fluff, eventually they end up with a nest and then, if they rest and lay an egg, it won't drop to the ground, if the nest was solidly made, which some aren't.  But the lazy nest-builders are less likely to have off-spring, so the lazy get weeded out.
That doesn't happen with humans because so many energetic souls take over for the lazy ones. So, the lazy give orders and think they've done something.

The problem with Willard is that he's been sold as a business whiz and then he turns up on the stump and plays dufus.  How long will Republicans be content to feel smarter and more accomplished than the shill?
Ronald Reagan proved that ANYONE can become President.  Whey do we keep having to prove that over and over again?

    •  I thought Ronald Reagan just proved (10+ / 0-)

that even a 3rd rate actor can impersonate a president.

Given the power and influence the 1% have to determine who runs and wins the office, I am intrigued by their apparent difficulties this year. Was it because:

      - No Republican with a reasonable number of working synapses and memory banks wanted to run. Knowing that the whole GOP economic ideology has failed, will fail if brought back, and the failure will overwhelm the legacy of the GOP president that tries it.

-They actually believe the economic ideology too?

-They don't care if it fails again because they will just tap the US taxpayers again. Total faith in the ability of the DHS and police to keep the peasants under control.

Personally I am waiting in anticipation of the running mate announcement. Especially since misterajc penned this masterful piece of satire.

      Breaking: Romney names running mate

(Exxon Mobile Corporation ;) Serious endorphins there folks.
