  •  Iam on disability- (0+ / 0-)

I shattered my left arm while in the Army and although I am eligible and receive my health care via the VA health care system I did not get any pension at all. I was put in the service connected category but no pension...not a penny.   I left after almost 10 years and then spent decades as an RN.
In 1992 and again in 2002 I fractured my pelvis and both surgery is available for these injuries at all and I have to wait till I am old enough for a hip replacement. Am only 60 and VA says that is too young.
I am maintained on very high doses of Morphine and Oxycodone daily..enough to kill some people. It doesnt completely take the pain away anymore.
I was awarded SS Disability on my first try since it was so severe.   And it pisses the hell out of me when people ask me why I am not working. Why am I so lazy to not go find any kind of job.
I can't hike, I can't fish, I can't walk more than 3 feet without a walker or cane. I can't walk my dog anymore. I can't sit for more than 15 minutes at a time...or sit in a car more than 20 minutes. Can't sit in a bathtub or get a pedicure. Can't climb in or out of a pool.
And this son of a bitch is wanting to stop people from getting care and disability. Well to quote all the good Kossacks here...FUCK YOU Zarelli.
