    I particularly love this:

We are comfortable honoring our ancestors, and the spiritual and religious paths walked by others, as long as their beliefs do not limit or impinge upon ours.
I need to reiterate this thought over and over and over and get my zen emoting working.

Most of my family is catholic.  I was raised catholic at a time when the rules were stringent and fear was the tool used to control.  Lucky for me, neither of my parents were that into the church and its fear mongering.

I think agnostic is a label that defines me most, religiously speaking.  But sometimes my intolerance of those still trying to use fear mongering on me or those I love rears its ugly head.

Thanks for giving me food for thought and reminding me of the true origins of so many of the cultural practices of most religions.
