    you'd never see such literal representations of art on traditional pysanky, therefore I'm calling it 'moderne'

      batik-style wax application either, it's probably just an image adhered to the surface of the egg

      it would be very hard to draw something like that with a 'kistka' and apply wax, which is why the traditional designs are all mostly geometrical
