  •  I agree that more people have graduated after (7+ / 0-)

    WWII, but I'm aware that kids are less literate and knowledgeable when they graduate that our generation was. That's my personal experience. I'll look for the research on tv and education.

      literate and knowledgeable now than before? How did you arrive at this awareness? What measures did you use for literateness and knowledgeableness?

      I notice you qualified it by saying "when they graduate." But a far lower percentage of people graduated high school 50, 60, and 70 years ago.

        don't want everyone to get an education, because it makes it harder for their kids to breeze through life at the top

        if they can't stop everyone getting an education, then they try reducing the quality of the education
