  •  Let's Draw Ann Romney Out on This (5+ / 0-)

Get her to talk about her experience as a "work-at-home" mom.  She had no job for pay outside the house.  That's great.

How much time did she spend vacuuming?  How much time cleaning the pool(s)?  How much time ferrying the kids around?  How much time shopping for food?

Did she use the Betty Crocker Cookbook or the Joy of Cooking?  What were her favorite dishes that she made for her family?  How often did she get "spelled" from cooking to go out to eat?

Who changed her kids' diapers?  Who mowed the lawn?  Who did the laundry?  Did she iron the sheets or did she use fabric softeners?  What cleaning products did she find useful for removing dried on "skid-marks" in the toilets?  How often did she have to clean the toilets, since having six "boys" in the house meant there was a lot of, shall we say, "splatter" that is unsightly and smells.

Did any servants helped her with her "job"?  If so, how much did that cost?

And what did she spend most of her time "on the job" doing, anyway?   Is being a stay-at-home mom really a "job" if you have other people do all -- or almost all -- the work?

I suspect Ann Romney's "job in the home" is akin to me claiming I'm a "farm worker" because I have a tomato plant in the back yard.

This aggression will not stand, man.

    •  Make her talk about policy! (3+ / 0-)

That's the right approach with Ann Romney.  If her husband appointed her as his expert on women's issues, then she has officially entered the political sphere.  Therefore, it's legitimate to ask her policy questions.  We'll see if she balks at that.  If she does then clearly she is no expert on women's issues.
