    that ColorOfChange is an organization primarily devoted to issues related to racial justice, and particularly voices the concerns of progressives of color.

    In my eyes, the success of ColorOfChange shows the power of identity politics in the progressive movement.  Rather than a detriment, identity politics is a force that Democrats must affirm and appreciate if we're going to increase our political power and effectiveness.  The causes of African Americans, of women, of LGBT communities, and so on -- these are are going to have to be integrated into our platform at a foundational level.

    It's even more reason to take a good look at ourselves and our organizations, and check our representative demographics.  It's a reason to make progressive sites like DK welcoming for identity politics instead of alienating.  Because ColorOfChange doesn't just help people of color -- it helps every progressive in America.  We need to return the favor.
