    I'm disabled.  I'm broke.

    If I had ponied up an extra hundred dollars last year and bought a laptop I could go a little more than a mile down the road and bum off of the local hospital.  Whatever they've got is pretty fast.

      I don't think that phone that you buy minutes for at filling stations have phones with 3G hotspots; that would be the cheapest if they did. I pay a bit for my cell; I won't even say how much, but there isn't a specific extra charge for using the hotspot. (Some "tether" their phones for the same effect.) When I was hospitalized 7/2011-7/2012, and acquired a netbook with wifi, and spent hours surfing the net (well reading kos) using my cellphone.
