  •  Ann just confessed that (12+ / 0-)

all the outrage was fake political posturing.  That's why this story goes against the Republican ticket.

    •  You think Ann Romney (0+ / 0-)

wasn't the least bit irritated by Rosen's comment?    She just  used it for political gain?   I think that is a bit simplistic.    Democrats need to realize when they have stepped in it and just stop, clean it off and move on.   Can't spin your way out of this one.

      •  Yes, that's right, she wasn't, and she did. (0+ / 0-)

Do you honestly think she didn't understand what "working" meant in Rosen's context? She would have to be among the stupidest people on the planet, if so. This was entirely ginned up.

    •  No it doesn't because the comment didn't just (0+ / 0-)

offend Ann Romney.  Sure she may be political posturing over it but the comment also played into the mommy wars and the stereotype that Democrats look down on "traditional" families.

It was a stupid mistake and there is no way to spin our way out of this one.  Pointing out that Ann Romney wasn't really offended only serves to remind people of the original comment.  We should just let it go and move on.

than we've got, we've got to take that into account when making public statements.  Now I understand.

How come Hilary Rosen is 'all Democrats' but Rush Limbaugh is not 'all Republicans'?  AFAIC all Republicans called all sexually active women 'sluts and prostitutes'.
