    Indeed, it's that ability by capital to temporarily batten off the equal mobility for labor which has enabled capital to pile up wealth.  Classical economics is built on the theory that all resources have equal mobility.  It was more true in the 18th and 19th centuries than it is today and that is when much of the economic theory revered by conservatives was created.  How much economic study over the past fifty years has even looked at the immigration issue?  Most of the time has been spent on looking at the issue of free trade, with the resulting WTO regime under which we live.
