problem.  Then you don't have to provide any solutions..  and you go on telling people they can have a tax holiday and still have social security be sound when they retire.

      •  But that isn't (7+ / 0-)

the only way it to resolve it.  We need a healthy ecomony.  All the jobs that have been outsourced also have weaken Social Security and Medicare and the tax holiday is just another increment to weaken it.

Pensions are now a thing of the past, for the most part, we supply our own pensions for the most part now, which how people save when healthcare costs and the cost of living are so high is beyond me.  Add to that funding whole new created departments like Homeland Security and the expansion of NSA which also have to be funded and are probably being funded by cutting SS and Medicare, education, and privatizing everything else our taxes have built.

It isn't a fainting couch I need it is reality.  The rich have gotten power in this country and they are not going to stop.  They will never be taxed like they were in the past.

This country has been through horrible times and never ever has a tax holiday or taxes on the rich been lower to get us out of financial difficulty.

Sorry, but they have already destroyed our healthcare system, the mental health system, almost all the social services, they are now working on education and I truly believe Medicare and SS are not safe.

As a country they will always need a military, but SS and Medicare, not so much.

Are we making any progress on that yet?

Eliminate tax breaks that stimulate the offshoring of jobs.

DEAD-END MISSIONIZING in the Networked Battlespace that the Global MIC has nearly completely turned the whole effing world into?

One stupid War of Choice after another, "our" huge Juggernaut being clumsy and in-agile enough to never be able to prevail in an asymmetric enterprise. Since if you look at the details, war is just a huge enterprise, turning Real Wealth into shrapnel and new rounds of hatred. And of course since "we" killed 26 Pakistani soldiers "somehow, in the fog of war," it's now more like $3,000 rather than the previous $400 to get a gallon of petrofuel to the active face of the Battlespace, not counting bribes to all the warlords in the little fiefdoms between the LZs and where The Troops are Making Huge Strides in some place that a brass hat has decided to nominate as the latest Khe Sanh, the latest Pork Chop Hill, the place where The War Will Finally Be Won, unless it isn't.

The thing about the military is that it is this enormous, parasitic bureaucracy/vampire squid, riding on a huge wave of myths and unexamined truthinesses, building its own momentum as it rolls downhill, shedding murderous technologies left, right and center. I hope all the True Believers, the idiot "patriots" that foster this effing nonsense that enables the Great Gamers to keep sucking our blood to feed themselves and their "commands," are still alive when the little creeping and flittering 'bots, carrying the latest toxins or genetically engineered pathogens, crawl through the cracks in their Home Castles and finish them off. And shit like this:

Can you dig it? Get it on! lap up the bloodthirst in the comments to that video, get a fine sense of what kind of death wish our stupid effing country and species seems to have....

    •  they have a solution (21+ / 0-)

they want to raid the funds like public education.

they are systematically, legally and successfully rolling back the New Deal piece by piece.

-You want to change the system, run for office.
