shill.  Since he's got no personal convictions, he can say anything and sound sincere.
Willard arrived with a suitcase full of money.  His "friends" at Bain used that money to accumulate more, but within ten years they "encouraged" Willard to "aim higher."  First, he tried for Kennedy's seat.  When that didn't work, they found another gig for him as soon as possible and the Olympics in Utah seemed a good fit for the fellow who'd been sent to France as a "finishing school."
Willard thought he was returning to Bain, but that turned out not to be.  Again, he was "encouraged" to aim higher -- this time for the Massachusetts governorship.  He lasted one term.  Then he was encouraged to run for president of the U.S. Following the precedent set by Dubya couldn't be too much of a stretch.
This time around the White House gig is a loss leader.  What the power barons want is the House and Senate.  The more the country can be focused on the head of the ticket, the less likely the bottom will get much scrutiny.

Perhaps if we paid more attention to the state's elections in 2008 & 2010, we wouldn't have the anti-American union busting Govs, emergency managers etc... The states are being bought by the Sugar Daddies now. Govs, leges, congress & senate. How do we fight that?

Rove & The Koch's must be laughing. While we spend $ to show Mitt's hourly flip/flops, we're not spending it on local candidates to fight for what's right from inside the Capitals.

Nature created the human race, but humans created racism.

later.  We need to keep our gaze fixed on the prize.  The House and Senate are where dollars are spent.  We can't afford another figurehead potentate in the White House, but the people in charge of the purse strings are even more important.

Why are our reps into deprivation?  Because their ability to inflict hurt is a sign of their power and power lust is what drives the instinct-driven.

George W. was nothing more than that.  He was very good at it, since he was a born idiot and it worked well for the GOP in their greedy quest.  Romney is the same.

with all ex-Bushie neocons to tell him what his foreign policy will be. He also has a clown car full of Bush's "economic geniuses" to shape his economic platform. Another malleable stooge for the same puppet masters who brought us two unending, unpaid for wars, worldwide financial collapse, rampant privatization, the funneling of tax dollars to the wealthy, corruption and austerity. What could possibly go wrong?
