  •  Why isn't Romney getting hit on this? (5+ / 0-)

The GOP keeps saying there is no war on women (I know better), but if they can call Rosen a President Obama spokesperson, Bork should be a poison pill for the GOP...I am a political junkie who only read about this today in Huffington (Jamin Raskin). I always take Huffington with a grain of salt, so I did google it and I think the Romney camp might try to downgrade Bork like they did Pearce, because I wasn't finding any official announcement from the Romney camp.  Am I reading this wrong?

perspective, there's no war ON women.  They see women as fully their equals and are at war WITH them.  And their objective is quite simple -- it's to protect a natural resource, their sperm.

Whatever project conservatives undertake, there's always an ulterior, unstated motive.  There are several reasons for this habit, but one of the main ones is that, if real motives are not admitted, then the pain of losing is less.  Indeed, if the real motive is not explicit, a loss may not even be noticed. Also, indirection is their core strategy in the sense that they do nothing themselves, but rely on intermediaries, instead.  Henchmen not only do the dirty work; they serve to disguise whence the directions actually come.  Dubya identified his father in heaven as a the source and thereby diminished his own role to that of instrument or middleman. False modesty serves to defer obligation somewhere else.  And conservatives are definitely averse to obligation and duty. Which is why they should not be employed as public office holders.
