  •  Of course Geico knows what they are doing. (4+ / 0-)

Though no longer exclusive to that demographic, it stands for Government Employee Insurance Corporation. ;)

Best customer service in my experience EVER: Triple-A and once, when I was in Canada, the CAA, who honored my AAA membership when I had a breakdown.

    •  It's the same with USAA (3+ / 0-)

Really reasonable insurance rates and a 30 day grace period on credit card payments.

Prior to USAA I had a credit card with BofA, and they would asses a late charge if the payment didn't arrive by noon on the due date.

When I switched to USAA, I set up online payments, but didn't realize it was a two-step process.  Consequently, a week after my first payment was due, I get a letter from them saying they hadn't received the payment.  I called and apologized to the customer service person.  She said, "Oh, don't worry about it.  You have a 30 day grace period.  There's no penalty."  My jaw hit the floor.
