the behavior of instinct-driven people will always be the same because they are creatures of habit.  If they see something they want, they will take it.  If they see something they don't like, they will kill it.
Their basic instincts are essentially self-destructive because they spawn revenge--unless they can disguise themselves.  That's where deception, misdirection and triangulation come in.  By getting someone else to act at their direction, humans avoid the consequences of retaliation that ordinary predators risk and which accounts for the existence of the predator being "brutish and short."

Deception is also basic, a very primitive strategy.  The pitcher plant practices it to get lunch.  So, humans being deceptive and engaging in theft is normal and, indeed, most children do it -- until they acquire reason and think better of it.  Obviously, some humans never get to that point.  They don't think, but continue to respond instinctively.  The result is predatory humans who dissemble.
For some reason, individuals bereft of reasoning skills are very adept at calculating--accumulating and counting and rearranging and manipulating quantities of things.  Banksters.  Predatory humans who deceive by making their killing virtual. Instead of lunch, they steal the money for lunch.

Instead of "once-removed," banksters are predators "twice-removed."

The good thing about them stealing money is that, no matter how much they steal, we can always make more -- unless we let the banksters take over the printing press.
