    of "fake centrism" out there, which are far more destructive.

    Personally, I get angry when I hear pundits continually bring up tax reform and Medicare privatization as policies that Washington needs to pursue, while never acknowledging truly liberal ideas.

    I don't think there was any malicious intent with this particular promo spot - just a clumsy attempt to "fairness and balance" WITHIN the context of an ad promoting a cause and viewpoint that is in sync with the Dem party.

    •  "fairness and balance," (0+ / 0-)

      is NOT the job of the journalist when it comes to FACTS.  Facts come first.  Much is opinion and can't be called out.  But in this case, the FACT is that it isn't "political parties" who are responsible for the voter ID laws, it's republicans, WITHOUT EXCEPTION.  

      If a republican says the world is flat, does that get "the fair and balanced" treatment?  Or does it get called out for the idiocy it is?  The Andrea Mitchell example here, and many others, are no less dramatic.
