    for my tastes. And I loathe his stupid text message poll.

      I think of him as a liberal football coach, and you know how football coaches are.  And yes, his text message poll is silly, redundant and needs to go.

      But here's the thing about Ed that I will defend heartily.  He is the ONLY media spokesperson for the blue collar. And he does that with all his heart, and yes, all his bluster.  The people he speaks for don't go in much for an intellectual approach.  They like Ed's forth rightness and his every pissed off worker's voice.

      Folks in Wisconsin love him because he helped put their cause on the map.  He did his show there over and over again throughout the long agony of Scott Walker and Wisconsin's effort to recall him---surrounded by union members and Wisconsinites who wanted to fight back.  

      What other national personality have you seen give the blue collar working person, the union person, a platform?  Ed's done that, and he's done it well.  So I say, God bless Ed.
