  •  FB bubble... (2+ / 0-)

I think the expression for FB is paper tiger, ready to fall apart in an instant at the first sign of danger.  Basically, I think FB is just a bubble ready to burst in a few years, just like the housing bubble (we all know how wonderful that's turned out to be).

The GM pullout is really telling.

    •  Actually, I think GM screwed up (0+ / 0-)

Ford stayed.  I think GM is still learning the value of being online.  Their own website still needs improvement, but has gotten better.  They need to learn how to capture the FB users attention better to help them increase sales.

Of course, it would help if they sold cars that the younger folks want to buy, at prices they can afford.

Our family was 5 GM products.  Then. last month one finally died.  That son went and purchased a car with a foreign name (made in US).  He went to the GM lots, but the cars weren't "sporty enough" and cost more.  And got lower gas mileage.

GM still has work to do.  Pulling out of FB might not be their best idea.

If you want to know the real answer: Just ask a Mom.
