  •  You guys make me feel fortunate (7+ / 0-)

I was not the daughter of a Southern anything. My mother used to say there was nothing south of the Mason-Dixon Line I needed to see except for maybe New Orleans. (We were from Chicago). My father was a Greek immigrant who worked his way through his PhD and started his own successful company , and sent me and my sisters through college. My mother's father was a socialist labor union organizer. My father called himself an independent but wouldn't have voted or a Republican if Jesus Christ himself came back and ran (of course, my father was an atheist). He threatened to move the family to Canada if Nixon won.

You have my deepest sympathy, and good luck to you.

Take the "Can't(or)" out of Congress. Support E. Wayne Powell in Va-07.
