    As someone who has loved horses and bought a few, I can tell you that although this kind of deceptive behavior exists in the horse world, it is considered very low class.  Look at how the trainer for the triple crown contender, "I'll Have Another" was called out for the many drug violations his horses had while competing.  I think the horse world drummed he and his horse out of a triple crown (or bought him off) because he doesn't conduct himself like the rest of the established horse world.  There is an old world, gentleman's agreement that allows the horse world to exchange big sums of money.  People who tranquilize horses during the sale process are considered slime.  period.  All in a day's work for the man from Bain.  I don't know how Ann Romney can call herself an animal lover and put FOUR drugs into her horse in order to deceive the potential buyer about what her horse can - or in this case, can't - do.
