    we would look at court cases that were relevant to schools. One of the most incredulous was the so-called Tweety Bird case.

    A school had a zero tolerance policy for weapons which included chains. An 11 year girl had a Tweety Bird wallet with an 10 inch chain attached to the wallet. She was suspended for 10 days, the maximum.

    Zero tolerance shouldn't mean zero common sense, but too often it does.
