He could improve his manners, but we all have areas where we can improve.

Actually I appreciate people pointing out errors in my diaries so that I can correct them.

Comments ... Eh ... Who really cares, except perhaps the  good doctor.

Maybe someday I'll have the patience to be as classy in dealing with such things as you are!

Thanks for the compliment. I am a bit curmudgeony among my fellow administrators. They might question the classy part. But being pro-union means I will be in the minority so if I get too bombastic they will just tune me out.

I attempt to be as reasonable as possible and I have changed some minds about certain issues. Having a socialistic guy in the group also means that other liberal admins can speak out and seem less radical.

I attended one law seminar and one speaker used it as an opportunity to spew ultra-conservative propaganda. I walked out and quite a few others followed me although I didn't know it at the time. I was so incensed I left the building and didn't return. Heard about it later. Apparently the walkout created a bit of a stir.

told the speaker that this session should have been on the program as a political talk, not an educational one.

Great diary!!  I really love it and am sending it on to my teacher friends.

But I did catch this in the last sentence...

I will guarantee you that you will much less polite with them than I am being with you."
      I think you meant
I will guarantee you that you will be much less polite with them than I am being with you."
Sorry to bother you about it, but I like when diarists fix stuff.
