I went through years of this with survivors of child sexual assault by priests. That's what I call it, not "molestation" or "abuse" because those sound like euphemisms to me. It was a group similar to this one except larger and, for the first few years, at least half of the group blamed the victims -- who were accused of lying, being after the Church's money, even seducing the priests -- and the victims' parents who often settled for money instead of going to the police. I was determined to stand with the survivors and victims (not everyone in the group survived those years) and share as much as I could of the things I learned in  therapy as a survivor of child sexual assault myself. It was an intense experience with many sleepless nights. I simply couldn't do it again, so I've stayed away. I should have known that a group of Kossacks under the guidance of Swedish Jewfish would be kind and supportive. I'm glad I read this diary and everyone's comments tonight, more than I can say.
