I'm just struck about the fact that the Right Wing always says the gays are the instigators and the troublemakers.

Yet, when gays try to do perfectly routine things, like change your name, something that happens every single day without incident, it's the Right Wing that has to create a big hullabaloo around it.

Hey, we could all just go back into the closet or book an appointment at a nice little ex-gay clinic. All of this our fault, certainly not that of these nice people.

prompts.  Since they have little or no self-awareness, they don't know when they're being prompted by prejudice. What they see is what moves them and, when they see two guys together and not either fighting or conspiring in some caper, they see red.  It's upsetting to see loving behavior because it makes them jealous.
That people get jealous about things people have that they don't want for themselves seems strange, but it's pretty common.
The urge to deprive seems pretty basic.  It's what drove Cain to kill Abel, right?

All they had to do was not shove their gay agenda in everyone's face and they could have gotten the name change done.

/snark on my part, but not on how many still think
