    actually, I would consider anything that affects the mean temp of the earth "climate change".  It's just a matter of whether it's natural variability or anthropogenic.

    Part of the confusion is in the amount of climate noise there is just in the system itself.  It hides the signal coming from adding greenhouse gases until that signal emerges and becomes statistically significant.
