    It certainly looks like the President has this almost on cruise control.  I should bite my tongue about this because it is very dangerous to become complacent.

    But, we REALLY should be paying attention to Congress. We NEED to deliver Democratic victories in Congress if the President will have a prayer of delivering on the change he envisions.  But I'm not seeing that so far in this campaign.  Indeed, there is polling to suggest the Republicans could retake the Senate.  That is absolutely frightening!

        rightly or wrongly, he is canonized as the "Father" of our country and sufficiently revered in myth and circumstance.

        And as I've come to understand had a very profound influence on the shaping of our fledgling nation including 1) declining a monarchy which was one of the movements to declare him King. 2) Setting the standard of decorum of how the office of the Presidency should be regarded including the standard of not more than 2 terms and 3) leaving some cogent advice about how the nation should conduct its affairs including not getting involved in foreign wars.
