  •  Umm...failure? (0+ / 0-)

I thought Sandusky was prosecuted and even convicted.

How was it a failure?  How long was the "investigation"?

    I don't know what I'm doing anymore.

against him happened as early as 1998 I believe. They had a chance back then to place Sandusky in a position not to do further harm. If you'll read the diary Corbett's investigation lasted in the area of 3 years without reaching the conclusion that Sandusky should be arrested. It was only recently that the floodgates opened up and victims started stepping forward en masse.

The system failed every kid who was victimized after state officials became aware that Sandusky was a potential threat. All of which first happened quite some time ago.

    •  Failure was children continued to be abused... (3+ / 0-)

...while Corbett put the investigation on ice until after he was safely elected governor.  After the election, suddenly a ton of investigators assigned to the case & Sandusky quickly charged.

Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country. - FDR
