    But you are just starting to see some Demwards movement in the parts of the Panhandle that are most hispanic - take a look at the 'trend' map for texas at dave leip's election atlas for 2008. Holding margins in the panhandle to something like 2-1 republican rather than 4-1 is going to be one element of a winning democratic coalition.

      Hispanic vote proportions should increase just from more kids aging into voting age.  Contrary, whites start at about average of 50 which in another 12 years should start seeing die off in fact, or in interest, and possibly migration to more senior friendly sites.
