if you're wasting your time trying to argue with aggregate polling, you've got a losing candidate on your hands.  Been there, done that.

This is why, as Kos has pointed out several times, there's NO motivation in fighting like you're 10 points behind, a meme that shows up here over and over again.  When you're behind, you start making excuses, you start depending on outlier polls, over sampling, cell phones and all matter of pixie dust.

When you're winning, it feeds the momentum.  We damn well should be acting like we're winning, because we are, at least in the presidential race.  If that changes, we'll have to adapt.

But in the mean time, watch any stadium during a football game.  The side that's behind by 10 points is sitting there glumly, while the side that's winning is on their feet, cheering their team on, and fanning the wind beneath their team's wings.

"A typical vice of American politics is the avoidance of saying anything real on real issues." Theodore Roosevelt.
