  •  Forget the recall results... (0+ / 0-)

....look at the approval.  There is no way that Walker should be anywhere near 50%.  He's the top of the GOP freshman governors class.  WI's not a blue state with that kind of approval and Obama in a tossup with Romney.

Whatever else you can say about Walker, he doesn't appear to be the combination of Rick Scott, Sarah Palin, Sharron Angle, and Christine O'Donnell we all think he is. This stuff can't stay in the news forever, so while people like us have it in the back of our minds, others don't. They move on, and like with most things, people are less negative as time goes on.

"The election of Mitt Romney and a supporting congress this November would be a...disaster for America. Think of the trainwreck that has been the Conservative government in Britain since 2010. And square it."--Brad DeLong

That's how things like Dave Freudenthal getting elected to to terms in Wyoming happen.

It's been documented that gubernatorial races cross party lines much more than federal ones.  Think Phil Bredesen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Lingle, Steve Beshear, Phil Bredesen, Brad Henry, Brian Schweitzer, Kathleen Sebelius...and on and on.
