    ...than one person who believes that the money paid to employees is still their employer's, and the employer has a right to determine what the employee can do with it.  One was a business owner.  The other was an employee, which was just staggering to me.  

    Just to make sure I wasn't misinterpreting it, I asked point-blank: "Just to clarify, you believe your employer has a right to tell you what you can do with your paycheck?"  He responded that yes, he did believe that since the money was still technically his employer's and they have a right to make sure it's not spent on something they don't like.  

    I wouldn't have believed such an absurd thing if I hadn't actually asked him to clarify, only to have him do so in no uncertain terms.

      one person who believes that the money paid to employees is still their employer's, and the employer has a right to determine what the employee can do with it.
      That the government made the money in the first place so it doesn't belong to the dumbass saying it's still theirs either. So by dumbass's logic, the government can dictate how dumbass runs his dumbass business.
      I've lost all tolerance for stupid people. Dumbasses.
