    but about affirmative action. "She checked the box." The RW hates affirmative action. They despise that someone might get hired or placed in a school because of "racial" background. Apparently, however, it's ok to give people preference if they are white.

    I've been a hiring manager. (I'm retired now.) I would never hire anyone, who wasn't qualified to do the work, because afterall, I was responsible for seeing that work got done on time with good quality. But I was always happy to see a black, Asian, Pacific islander, or hispanic in the interview process.

    So what's your beef with affirmative action? Explain that please.

    BTW: Blond hair is a recessive gene. You could kill every blond person in the world, and you still wouldn't prevent blond babies being born. More importantly, race is not a biological reality; race is a social construct. If someone with blond hair is accepted by members of a tribe and honors the traditions of the tribe, then guess what? They're a member of that tribe.
