  •  I'm not sure whether we cheer or jeer (12+ / 0-)

I've been scanning around the right wing sites and it seems the biggest single "lie" they are attributing to Joe Biden was a statement they suggest means he didn't vote for the wars. It is being spun as a lie because he did vote for both wars according to (Sept. 2001 and Oct. 2002.)

This was when he was talking about the fact that the great recession didn't just fall from the sky. He was talking about the Medicare prescription drug benefit bill and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq not being paid for when he said "I was there, I voted against them." I believe he was talking about the Bush tax cuts (May 2001, and May 2003.)

If you listen to the whole clip it is less clear that the republican lie of omission when they tried to claim President Obama said that if you have a business you didn't build that. That one is easy to debunk by just including the sentence before the one they took out of context. Everyone without their fingers in their ears clearly sees the out of context distortion.

A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward. Franklin D. Roosevelt
