I talked to kos before he started this website and said, "make these wretches go blue or go home" and lookee what happened...

Just kidding Mama Jo, but social/religious issues aside...what separates us, in my eyes, is that we live in a fact based world.

When our polling numbers go down we don't start websites devoted to making the polls read the way we want them to.

When jobs numbers come out we don't send Warren Buffet out to stoke conspiracy theories if those job numbers don't work in our favor.

We don't, to my knowledge, lie our way into wars.

We don't cut taxes for the rich and then bitch about the government being broke.

We don't tell the poor to go fuck themselves.

We don't tell blacks, "slavery was a long time ago, let it no attention to the words we speak that make it seem as though we still see you in chains, as sub-human, as lazy etc."

We don't tell gays to rehab until they are acceptable heterosexuals.

We don't spray paint the entire Islamic faith with "extremist".

We don't stoop to petty name calling like: the French are cowards so we eat freedom fries.

We don't form "coalitions of the willing" with the point of a sword.

We don't out CIA operatives for political gain.

We don't embrace prevarication as a part of our party platform.

We don't fabricate the reality that makes us look better.

When we fuck up we generally own it.  (Anthony Weiner resigns, David Vitter etc don't)

We don't just call ourselves Constitutionalists...we actually believe in the Constitution and work to preserve and enhance it.

And we don't tell women that people the age and gender of Mitt Romney should be the one's deciding what she can and can't do with her body or her mind.

So, I agree, "We don't foist our beliefs on others" but we are separated by a much larger chasm, morally and ethically, from our demented countrymen and women.

But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have laid my dreams under your feet; tread softly, because you tread on my dreams. – Yeats
