Some things are better said in private. The media's analysis went from the relatively benign "Obama won on substance, Romney won on style" immediately after the debate to "Obama just lost the election ZOMG OHNOEZ" within a few days, with the MSNBC anchors being the worst. Several friends who didn't even watch the debate told me they heard from the cable news people that Obama flopped miserably, and a couple Republican acquaintances gleefully pointed out that even "the liberal MSNBC" thought he did a terrible job. If you compare people who watched the debate on C-SPAN to the ones who watched it on a major news network, there's a big difference in their own opinions on the two men's performances. The media drives the narrative whether we like it or not, and the people who are supposed to be in our corner didn't help by publicly acting like it was the end times just because Obama stumbled a bit.

Lib/prog waaaaah-ing created and drove the narrative. We can be critical by means of holding feet to fire but can we at least stick somewhat together and get our people elected?
Discipline doesn't mean emulating the repig's type of evil zombie discipline or their crybaby victim acts. It means having our backs and not freaking out.
