    I'm always curious about how they actually put together these "focus groups" or, even more, the polls of supposedly "undecided" voters?

    Do they just ask people at random whether they've made up their minds yet? Do they let them know they could be on TV before asking if they've decided yet or not?

    Do they do any background research--check to see if they're a registered Republican/Democrat first? Check to see if they've run for office themselves? Check their FB or Twitter accounts to see if they commonly post political screeds?

    It's silly.

      use focus groups to test messaging all the time. Hard to know if the networks put them together the way the campaigns do.

      Seek not that the things which happen should happen as you wish; but wish the things which happen to be as they are, and you will have a tranquil flow of life.
