    point of having Biden make his "won't change a thing" statement. Won't mean a thing in a month and a half, but it's enough for folks desperate to claim this isn't happening. One statement in a sea of speeches. One or two more parsing references to the cuts that are coming won't change the mind of someone who's already got what they think is a convincing storyline.

      another "Million Man March" on Washington on behalf of Social Security.  Spring is a good time for demonstrations.

        That may be too late. The worst is likely during the lame duck congress. We need a movement to occupy the lame duck.
