    but about 20 years a magazine -- Wild Bird, maybe -- had an article about scattered 'clans' of albinistic red-tails - birds that are partially white, restricted to small geographic areas, mostly in the heartland as I recall.  I got interested after seeing a juvenile Krider's on Galveston Island that was paler than your first pic -- even the tail.  Stunning bird!  But, they're all good...
