    Here in Texas, our neighborhood is already decked out with those giant inflatable lawn displays, lights, ghosts, tombstones and other Chinese crap. It's a precursor to Christmas, when everyone ratchets it up another notch. Conractors are hired to decorate the houses and lawns with lights, giant inflatable displays, and everything else that marks the home as having enough disposable income to waste on this sort of thing. Sure, their mongo SUV will still have the "keep Christ in Christmas" decal on it, but if Christ showed up on our street and saw what's become of this holiday, he'd nail himself to the cross.

    Those who do not understand history are condemned to repeat it... in summer school.
