    We used to work a huge territory when I was a kid.

    And the nice lady down the street who actually MADE treats for the kids who came by--  Mrs. McBeaton (we left off the "Mc" part) was really from Scotland and lived on the side of the street that had really old ladies living on it, widows and elderly single women who were interesting people, each in their own house, with a yard they tended themselves--

    Nowadays,  the treat has to be prepacked and double checked to see nobody opened it to put poison inside or else it gets put in the garbage.

    Hallowe'en nowadays ?

    Bleh.

      ..Put them in little bags with a Happy Halloween note, our family name and our street.
