Before we invaded Iraq, I had an "Invade Iraq No" bumper sticker on my car in the Boston area.  Someone smashed into my car one night when it was parked on a quiet street, causing quite a bit of damage.  The way it was hit I could tell they had backed into it on purpose.  After that I stopped putting on bumper stickers. Stopped wearing buttons.

This year, volunteering for the Obama campaign, I met many people who weren't afraid of expressing their support, and I thought of all the LBGT people I know who aren't afraid to be themselves in our often hostile country.

I got angry for letting myself feel intimidated by the right wing crazies.  Now I've got an Obama sticker on my car, and today, when I heard 2 haters talking crazy in a restaurant where I was having lunch, I turned my bag around on the table so they could see my Obama pin.

I've been in that Denver office and I'm glad that no one got hurt.  But don't let them scare you, let them make you stronger.  There are more of us than them.  Michael Moore says that's why they have to suppress votes and cheat on elections.

... and you inspired me to volunteer at a Denver campaign office this week. Fuck the RW!
