    To most of us, giving away 30% of our income to charity would drastically change our quality of life. If you make $50k, you'd only be able to keep $35k. That's a huge cut. But to a Romney, it has no effect whatsoever on the quality of his life, only a meaninglessly small difference in net worth.

    So, while the point is perfectly good that we can't know for sure—because in the absence of hard evidence, nothing that Romney says can reasonably be believed—even if the 30% is true, it has nothing to do with us. If Romney gave away 90% of, not his income, but of his reported net worth of $250 million, he'd still be worth $25 million dollars, which IMHO is a ridiculous amount of money for one family to control.
