    I well remember reading of the horrific lines, 8-10 hour waits etc. for many Dem-neighborhood Ohio voters in 2008.  Those were mostly due to insufficient voting machines (while unused ones were still warehoused ready for deployment that never happened).  And similar stuff went on elsewhere, of course.  

    What I also recall from the Ohio election was that some good Samaritans came to help the people in those lines, bringing umbrellas, blankets, chairs, food & water, and encouraging words.  I thought this was a great idea, and surely helped some would-be voters survive those lines.

    If there were such a situation near where I live, I'd be glad to volunteer in that way.  Is this something that some local people might be willing to do to help during this election?  

    A writer could also put together an interesting diary/article about it, too, no doubt!
