Paper ballots, optical scanners, if the totals are within a certain percentage point, there's an automatic recount.  All recounting is done out in the open where anyone can observe.

Plus, MN has easy voter registration (way below in another comment I have a link to the MN SoS web site with info).

We had a recount in '62 that I still remember (I was in high school, not old enough to vote, but I remember the recount).

Then there's the famous '08 recount where Al Franken won by only 312 votes once the manual recount of the paper ballots was done.

'10 saw the recount process started for the governor's race, but the totals started out farther apart, got wider, so the Repuke finally conceded.

Plus, on local county or city levels there have also been recounts through the years, and at least two of those, IIRC, did, in fact, have a winner by only one vote or not much more.  Really close.

I kinda think we Minnesotans aren't going to give up our paper ballots any time soon.  I hope.

I do NOT trust the e-voting machines that can be pre-set or changed at will by unscrupulous Repuke managers who won't let anyone see the alleged "proprietary codes" for the voting programs, and there are no receipts to indicate how anyone voted.

There should ALWAYS be paper ballots to hand-count and Impatient Moronic Media can go cheney themselves until the hand recounts are done with all due deliberate, correct haste.  I don't care how long a recount takes as long as it's done accurately!
