the problem with this statement is that everyone has there own reality, and everyone here would be aghast at presuming that one person's reality is less valid than someone else's, even though they may be diametric opposite realities.

Hence...there is no objective reality.  Sort of makes a "reality based community" a suspicious term.

    •  sorry, the text of the Constitution is explicit (0+ / 0-)

You don't get to have your own reality as to what constitutes treason.

The framers were careful to limit it to very specific acts, precisely to avoid having it applied in emotional situations such as this.

And as governor, he's probably immune to just about any state law, given his ability to pardon.

Which leaves a handful of federal laws available to explore.

It would be wonderful if the FBI could haul his ass to jail on some charge, I just don't know what it would be.

a treasonous act if you put the entire country and especially the state at risk for a communicable disease of outbreak?  CDC has proof of the hiding of TB patients and not alerting the public or health officials.  What act does this fall under?

Treason requires act that aids and abets enemies of the U.S.

Mass murder doesn't count.  Destroying infrastructure doesn't count.  Spreading diseases doesn't count.

It is a VERY limited crime, by design.   Otherwise it is far too easy for any government to imprison or execute political opponents for trumped-up "treason" charges, especially since (human nature being what it is) the people in government often will see political action against them as tantamount to treason.
