  •  I was always leery of voting absentee, but I... (7+ / 0-)

got a ballot in the mail this time because it is so lengthy.
I filled it out and hand-delivered it to the elections office in downtown St. Petersburg before in-person early voting started.
My signature on the outside envelope was verified by an employee via computer before I dropped the ballot in a box. But afterwards I wondered if there would be another layer of signature verification after I dropped my ballot in the box. It wasn't a requirement to get signature verification in advance; I requested it.
I left the election office weeks ago happy that I banked my vote, but how do I really know if my vote was counted?

I share a birthday with John Lennon and Bo Obama.

I don't know about Florida, but in my state you can track the processing status of your ballot online with the county by ballot number.

that electronic/absentee/mail in ballots SUCK. Need a receipt that can be tracked.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.
