My next car will be Chrysler-made. What are some good choices?

Also, we're renting a car for a week in the midwest. What Chrysler model should I request??

Okay, the Government says you MUST abort your child. NOW do you get it?

    •  Dodge Dart has the best mileage, 41 mph if (2+ / 0-)

you drive a stick, a little less for automatic. The 200 is a real nice car as well.

      •  I had a '75 Dart. Slant six. LOVED it! Bought it (0+ / 0-)

used in '79 while in grad school. We drove it into the ground--even re-covered the front seats. Then pulled a small Uhaul from Texas to NYC. Parked it for 3 years, unmoved.

After 3 years sitting in an old friends yard, we cleaned the bee hive out of the engine, and the weeds growing up in there, and roll-started it on a slight hill--a little nervously. It started right up, and with just an oil change, ran like a top, 'til my husband hit a deer and it began eating tires--around '89. The engine still ran great.

Then we gave it to a neighbor kid who restored it. Still on the road, as far as I know.  What a GREAT American car!

    •  Please stop this! (0+ / 0-)

Chrysler didn't just decide to give its workers the day off. It was bargained into the contract by the UAW. It's the same for Ford and GM workers. Buy what you want, just make sure it's UAW built!

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
