  •  I have always loved your sig name, Eddie, (5+ / 0-)

because it derives from a teevee character that was a genuine American foil to two make-believe iconic Cleaver kids who never existed in my world.  Good to see you're here again.
I'm a tad older than the boomers and lament what my generation did with the legacies of Teddy--We learned conservation in school,--FDR, Bobby, MLK and Paul Wellstone.  We were drawn to the sterile world of orthodoxy aime at the three pillars of status, acquisition and power over others, also known as marketing.  Pursuit of those goals squeezed the moral vitality out of the nation, but I now have hope that the more recently empowered will bring it back and learn from our mistakes.

Romney went to France instead of serving in our military, got rich chop-shopping US businesses and eliminating US jobs, off-shored his money in the Cayman Islands, and now tells us to "Believe in America."

I chose this name because I was and still might be  a two-faced, brown-nosin', little troublemakin' s.o.b. who was hated by almost every teacher in my school.  But I could sweet talk all the moms and dads so they would let me hang with their kids.

"My, judyms9, what a lovely dress you're wearing today!  Can Walter and young Theodore come out to play?"
      ..then, later...
"Hey, Wally, let's ditch your twerp little brother and head for the pool hall for some smokes and couple brewkis, eh?"
