  •  we got the future back. (29+ / 0-)

Now instead of climate catastrophe and plutocratic/theocratic rampage, we can look forward to building a future that isn't something straight out of a dystopian novel.

We can look forward to putting progress back on track again on all fronts, and getting something like the future we were looking forward to, rather than the one we were dreading.

But as with the election, this is up to all of us, to roll up our sleeves and work hard for it.

This election was the turning point toward a future with a future.

Just goes to show I should not try to finish writing a comment while taking a phone call.

      Multi-tasking sucks.

      •  it doesn't hurt obama supported gay marriage (3+ / 0-)

and what he did on the dream act-Progressives have a lot to be thankful for from this man in truth.  He's likely seeded credit on the economy to us and The Latino vote, the youth vote, and the republicans cost themselves women for whatever bizarre reason. Republicans managed to render being against abortion in POLICY to be a radioactive by doing shit like throwing women out of the chambers for saying the word vagina. the growing and increasingly paniced men's right movement (the hate groups) but then there's the icing in that obama reversed attitudes on gay marriage

in effect the christian right has been neutralized. Gone are the days in which you could whip up enough votes on Gay marriage and abortion alone.

in the mean time the GOP is in a frenzy the tea party is going right and the establishment is undersure and wavering in both directions... And then there's the libertarian party... Doing so damn well and growing.. If the dnc dscc or dccc send you mailers, send that link back to them and tell them you won't send money to people who defend democrats who betray progressive principals! up yours!
