  •  I gave directly to the party for the first time.. (7+ / 0-)

...in years.  After the way we were treated during the 2010 mid-terms, where many of us worked hard to nominate better and competitive Democrats in several districts, and Obama directed the Party to crush us with last minute attacks and directed funds to preserve the Blue Dogs, I swore I would never give a dime to them again.  The fact that every single one of those Blue Dogs they assisted went on to lose was justice.

For the next year and a half, every time a party organization called me for a donation, I told them exactly why they should stop calling me.  I finally started noticing a change in behavior about a year ago, and broke my own mini-boycott.

So yes, this one does feel different.  We won in many places with better Democrats, and the Party worked with us, rather than against us.  We didn't come close to taking back the house, but we gained ground everywhere in the face of unlimited funding from shadowy quasi-fascist reactionaries.  People beat Money, I'm sure much to the Supreme Court Majority's chagrin.
